Thanh Nhan Clean Agricultural Products Cooperative in Vu Xa village, Thuong Quan commune (Kinh Mon, Hai Duong) is famous for producing tapioca starch.

Thanh Nhan Clean Agricultural Products Cooperative was established in 2020 and is currently the largest producer and trader of pure cassava starch in Hai Duong province.

The hardest part of making tapioca starch is filtering the powder. If you are not careful, the powder will be ruined.

After being crushed and separated from the pulp, the cassava starch will be put into a soaking tank for 3 - 4 days.

The tapioca starch is carefully cut before being put into the dryer. This year, the cooperative produced about 200 tons of fresh tapioca starch (about 300 tons less than last year) and about 50 tons of powder.

Every day, the cooperative produces 6 tons of fresh tubers and more than 1 ton of cassava flour, selling for 150,000 - 180,000 VND/kg, slightly higher than last year.

Cleaned cassava tubers before being put into the drying oven. The process is done carefully so the powder is whiter, smoother, and more fragrant than powder from other places.

The cooperative applies modern Japanese drying technology, ensuring environmental hygiene standards and ensuring powder quality even in humid weather. The tapioca starch products of Thanh Nhan Clean Agricultural Products Cooperative have been exported to Japan, China and widely consumed domestically.

There are currently 12 workers working at the cooperative until the end of the 15th day of the 3rd lunar month, when the cassava harvest season ends, earning from 250,000 - 350,000 VND/person/day (depending on the stage). They are all local leisure workers.

The cooperative currently has 2 types of tapioca starch products: 1 kg and 500g. The product has been recognized as 4-star OCOP. The cooperative's annual revenue is about 14 billion VND.

The cooperative has zoned a concentrated production area of ​​10 hectares, applying organic farming methods. In 2024, the unit was recognized as a typical cooperative nationwide.
