According to information from the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Control and Search and Rescue of Ha Giang province, flash floods, landslides and localized flooding occurred in many localities due to heavy rain lasting for many hours from the night of June 9 to the morning of June 10.
Floods killed two people, initial estimated damage of nearly 10 billion VND.
Specifically, the two people swept away by the flood were a father and son. The two victims were the father Ly Chan Ho (born in 1997) and his son Ly Hung Thinh (born in 2021), residing in Tan Thuong village, Nam Ty commune, Hoang Su Phi district.
After many hours of searching, authorities found the bodies of the father and son.
