Nam Sach District Police have initiated a case, prosecuted the accused, and temporarily detained Cao Van Dinh (born in 1993, in Khanh Hoi village, Nam Dong ward, Hai Duong city) to investigate the crime of property theft.

On the night of July 21 and early morning of July 22, Lang Khe village pagoda (An Lam commune, Nam Sach) was broken into by thieves who stole nearly 1 million VND from the donation box, 1 bell, 2 brass candlesticks, 1 washing machine and 3 rolls of electric wire, total value of about 35 million VND.
Using professional measures, Nam Sach District Police investigated and clarified that Cao Van Dinh was the perpetrator.
In addition, Dinh also confessed that at around 11 p.m. on July 20, 2023, Dinh broke into Linh village pagoda, Ai Quoc ward (Hai Duong city) to steal a bronze gong, 2 amplifiers and a bronze bell. Two days later, at around 10 p.m. on July 23, Dinh broke into and stole a bell from the temple of Nguyen Huu Cau's father in Song Dong village, Tan An commune (Thanh Ha) and a 3kg incense bowl at Vu Xa pagoda, Ai Quoc ward (Hai Duong city).
In 2015, Dinh committed a number of thefts in Binh Giang, Gia Loc, Nam Sach, Thanh Ha districts and Hai Duong city. He was sentenced to 10 years and 9 months in prison by the People's Court at all levels and was released from prison in June 2023.
