Man City announced a huge revenue, breaking MU's record in the Premier League after a very successful season with a convincing treble.
After doing the same thing as MU - winning a spectacular treble (Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League) in one season, Man City even surpassed their 'neighbor' in terms of earning money.
Specifically, Man City's revenue after the 2022/23 season increased to 712.8 million pounds, surpassing MU's 648.4 million pounds recorded last month.
Despite the huge wage bill, Man City still nearly doubled their profits to £80.4m.
According to the Irish Times, the Etihad Stadium team received an additional £50.4 million in broadcasting revenue compared to the previous year, as well as a net profit of £121.7 million through player sales.
Much of Man City's additional income was generated through television thanks to Pep Guardiola's side's impressive performance in the Champions League, where they beat Inter Milan 1-0 in Istanbul, Türkiye, in the final.
It is understood that 29 staff have left Man City, but their wages have risen to nearly £60m. The reason is that bonuses for their treble win and new signing Erling Haaland are said to earn £375,000 a week, plus bonuses.
In addition, Man City's revenue also comes from playing four more games at the Etihad compared to last season, helping the figure skyrocket from £17.4 million to £71.9 million, due to an increase in the average number of viewers.
Not to mention, Pep Guardiola's decision to sell Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Raheem Sterling has earned Man City 125 million pounds.
Man City are currently ranked first in the Premier League after 12 rounds with 28 points, while they have also booked their ticket to the Champions League round of 16 two matches ahead of schedule.
