Social insurance data connection

The system has authenticated over 91.2 million demographic information in the national insurance database with the national population database. At the same time, the Vietnam Social Security System has provided and shared over 131 million records of social insurance and health insurance information with the national population database.

Nationwide, there have been 12,597 medical examination and treatment facilities implementing health insurance examination and treatment using chip-embedded ID cards (reaching 98.2% of the total number of health insurance examination and treatment facilities nationwide), with over 43 million successful searches of health insurance card information using chip-embedded ID cards to serve health insurance examination and treatment procedures.

Regarding the implementation of integration and provision of online public services (PV) on the National Public Service Portal, the Social Security has integrated the deduction of contribution levels in the renewal of health insurance cards by household: The system of the Vietnam Social Security has received and processed the renewal of 26,144 health insurance cards through the service of renewing health insurance cards by household with deduction of contribution levels through the Vietnam Social Security Public Service Portal and the National Public Service Portal.

Regarding the connection of birth registration - permanent residence registration - issuance of health insurance cards for children under 6 years old; connection of death registration - cancellation of permanent residence registration - funeral allowance, the Social Insurance of provinces and centrally-run cities received and processed 143,245 applications for health insurance cards for children under 6 years old and 3,028 applications for funeral allowance settlement through 2 groups of interconnected public services.

To resolve unemployment benefits, Vietnam Social Security has received from the National Public Service Portal to confirm and return the social insurance payment process for 244,258 cases to serve the resolution of unemployment benefits for employees.
