Consulting on the proposal to award the Second Class Labor Medal to Kinh Mon town

The Emulation and Reward Board, the Standing Office of the Emulation and Reward Council of Hai Duong province, has received a proposal and documents from Kinh Mon town requesting state-level rewards.

Specifically, propose the President to award the Second Class Labor Medal to the Party Committee, government and people of Kinh Mon town (on the occasion of receiving Kinh Mon town as a type III urban area).

To ensure regulations on emulation and rewards, the Provincial Emulation and Rewards Committee organized to collect public opinions for Kinh Mon town.

Feedback from organizations and citizens should be sent to the Provincial Emulation and Reward Board and the Department of Home Affairs (No. 1 Do Luong Street, Quang Trung Ward, Hai Duong City) before September 30, 2024.

On September 16, the Minister of Construction decided to recognize Kinh Mon town (Hai Duong) as a type III urban area;

Kinh Mon town has an area of ​​about 165.34 km², in which the inner-city area includes 14 existing wards and Hoanh Son commune (expected to merge into Duy Tan ward).

The town's population in 2023 is 215,637 people, of which 178,214 are permanent residents and the rest are temporary residents. In 2023, the number of workers working in economic sectors is 63,296 people. The rate of non-agricultural workers is 72.78%. The average income per capita in 2023 is 7.67 million VND/person/month, 1.59 times higher than the national average (the whole country is 4.83 million VND/person/month).
