Hai Duong workers in Taiwan (China) are safe after the earthquake

As of 8:00 a.m. on April 5, no Hai Duong workers were recorded injured in the earthquake in Taiwan (China).

According to representatives of some Hai Duong enterprises with workers and interns working and studying in Taiwan (China) and the reporter's investigation, as of 8:00 a.m. on April 5, no workers from the province were injured or killed in the earthquake. Currently, the Hai Duong Association in Taiwan has contacted its members to grasp the situation and provide support when necessary.

The Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Hai Duong has requested businesses providing services to send workers to work in this market to coordinate with partners and Taiwanese employers to review and verify the safety status of workers sent by the businesses and continue to monitor the situation in the coming days to have a plan to ensure safety for workers.

Earlier on the morning of April 3, a 7.2 magnitude earthquake shook the area off the coast of Hualien city, east of Taiwan.

According to statistics from the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, in the past 3 months, Hai Duong has had more than 1,000 workers go to Taiwan to work. This is also the market with the largest number of Hai Duong workers coming to work since the beginning of the year.
