The team of 18 bakers began kneading the dough at 3am on May 5 (local time), before putting the bread into a specially designed slow oven.
The previous record for the longest loaf of bread belonged to the Italian city of Como with a length of 132.62m, set in June 2019.
A portion of the bread, at least 5cm thick, was cut off and shared with the public. The rest was given to the homeless.
By standard, a traditional French baguette is about 60 cm long, made only from flour, water, salt and yeast, and weighs about 250 grams.
