Resolutely fight and eliminate the activities of evil cults

On September 15, the Ministry of Home Affairs issued Official Dispatch No. 5254/BNV-TGCP requesting the People's Committees of provinces and cities to strengthen their grasp of the situation, promptly detect and resolutely fight against and eliminate the Church of God the Mother in Vietnam in terms of organization.

Taking advantage of this issue, on social networking sites, some civil society organizations and hostile and reactionary forces are trying to encourage and assist this evil cult to continue its activities in order to take advantage of freedom of belief and religion to entice people to participate in illegal activities, causing disturbances in order to divide and destroy the great national unity bloc, causing political instability.

According to information from the Government Committee for Religious Affairs, the Church of God the Mother (international and full name is the Church of God, World Mission Society) has been restored and is a religion. In the past, this cult has caused and continues to cause many negative consequences to social life. That is superstitious propaganda such as drinking "holy water" will eliminate all diseases, destroying the body to be liberated, having group sex with the leader to quickly attain enlightenment... Taking advantage of the gullibility and lack of knowledge of some people to make profits, causing insecurity and disorder such as gathering large crowds to illegally preach religion, calling on people to abandon their families and relatives to follow evil religions, encouraging people to "give more money and read more repentance scriptures, the sooner their sins will be cleared and they will enjoy happiness"... Taking advantage of religious activities to entice people to violate the policies and laws of the State, to oppose the government such as organizing weddings without registering their marriage, not complying with military service examination orders, taking advantage of prominent incidents that cause public outrage to call on people to protest...

Because of its unhealthy, harmful, and destabilizing manifestations for society, this cult is not recognized and licensed by the Vietnamese government. However, through many different ways and tricks, this cult still forms a network of followers, spreading throughout the provinces and cities, approaching people to recruit followers, propagating beliefs, and even organizing activities with extreme political colors, opposing the government.

The consequences of this heresy are very dangerous. Therefore, the Ministry of the Interior's policy of resolutely fighting and eliminating the Church of God the Mother is completely correct, in accordance with the standards of good moral values ​​of the nation, including the good moral values ​​of religions.

To prevent people from propagating, encouraging, and enticing people to participate in cult activities, people need to be aware of the anti-scientific, anti-cultural, and anti-social nature of cults; heighten vigilance against plots, tricks, and activities that take advantage of religions to sabotage the Party and the State by hostile forces. Do not participate in superstitious activities or assist, encourage, and propagate cults. At the same time, strictly comply with the provisions of the law on beliefs and religions, especially the Law on Cyber ​​Security, and do not access reactionary information sites.
