On December 13, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment decided to establish an inspection team to clarify the illegal land use and construction in the Lim hill mine area, Phu Thu ward (Kinh Mon).
The Provincial People's Committee granted a mineral exploitation license to Phu Tan Company Limited in August 2006. The inspection team is responsible for clarifying the responsibilities of relevant organizations and individuals when illegal land use and construction occur in the Lim hill mine area; recommending handling of violations (if any) according to regulations. The inspection and review period is from December 13 to December 30, 2022.
Previously, in the process of advising the Provincial People's Committee to approve the project to close the Lim mountain mine, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment discovered that a part of the Lim mountain area had signs of encroachment by people, building houses, surrounding walls, and gardens. On December 7, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee directed the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to preside over and coordinate with relevant departments, branches, and the People's Committee of Kinh Mon town to urgently inspect and clarify the illegal use of land and construction of works in the Lim mountain mine area; clarify the responsibilities of relevant organizations and individuals...
