Kia Sonet 2024 price from 539 million VND

The Kia Sonet models of the mid-cycle upgrade will arrive at dealerships from June 15 for delivery to customers. The cars are still assembled by Truong Hai at the factory in Quang Nam.

The specific selling prices of Kia Sonet 2024 versions are as follows:

In the A+ CUV segment, Kia Sonet is the youngest car in terms of design. The 2024 version is even more refined with new style headlights and taillights. Halogen lights on the standard Deluxe version, the two higher versions are LED lights. LED fog lights are only available on the Premium version.

Kia Sonet has disc brakes for the rear wheels for the first time (the previous version was drum type) similar to the front wheels. This is an equipment that rival Toyota Raize has had for a long time. This new upgrade is only available on the two higher versions of Sonet. All versions are fitted with 16-inch wheels similar to the old version.

The new Sonet retains the same arrangement of details in the cockpit. The speedometer in the three versions is LCD, the size increased from 3.5 inches to 4.2 inches. The entertainment screen is still 8 inches touch screen in the two lower versions and 10.25 inches in the highest version but the design is more compact and fashionable.

Kia Sonet 2024 continues to use a 1.5 naturally aspirated engine, 113 horsepower and 144 Nm. 4-speed automatic transmission, front-wheel drive.

The car's safety technology retains the same safety features as the previous version. Reverse sensors, reverse camera, electronic balance, and hill start assist are standard equipment.

The mid-level Luxury version has additional features such as speed limit, cruise control, tire pressure sensor. The highest-end version has 6 airbags, the rest have 2. The car does not have blind spot warning, cross traffic warning when reversing like Toyota Raize.

With new upgrades in amenities, Kia Sonet is currently the leading model in the segment (gasoline cars) in terms of richness, slightly better than Sonet or Raize. In terms of safety technology, it is on par with Venue but slightly inferior to Toyota Raize.

With the selling price of 539-579 million VND for two low versions, Truong Hai seems to want to "fight one-on-one" with its rival Hyundai Venue, a model with similar selling price (two versions) and assembled by Hyundai Thanh Cong. Toyota Raize costs 498 million VND, imported from Indonesia, still the cheapest in the segment.

The high-end version of Sonet, priced at 624 million VND, is an additional option for customers who prefer the fully equipped version. In June, Thaco reduced 5 million VND for all three versions of Sonet.

In 2023, Kia Sonet sold 11,366 cars, far surpassing other competitors such as Raize (4,546 cars) or Venue (180 cars - sold from December 2023). As of May, Sonet continued to lead with 2,818 cars, followed by Raize with 1,564 cars and Venue with 1,173 cars.
