Kia Seltos adds turbocharged engine version, priced at 749 million VND

In the last week of May, Kia dealers under Thaco announced that they are accepting orders for the Seltos 1.5 Turbo Luxury version priced at 749 million VND. This version is equipped with a 1.5 turbocharged engine like the highest-end GT-Line version (799 million VND). The selling price of the Seltos 1.5 Luxury is the same as the 1.5 Luxury version equipped with a 1.5 naturally aspirated engine.

Kia Seltos 1.5 Turbo Luxury retains the same exterior design and equipment as the GT-Line version. 1.5 turbocharged engine, 158 horsepower at 5,500 rpm, maximum torque of 253 Nm at 1,500-3,500 rpm. 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

To reduce the selling price by 50 million VND compared to the highest version, Thaco cut some features of the ADAS driver assistance package such as adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning/avoidance, lane keeping warning/assistance, blind spot collision warning/avoidance, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance assistance...

In terms of interior, the Kia Seltos 1.5 Turbo Luxury has leather seats, a 10.25-inch touch screen entertainment screen, automatic air conditioning, electronic handbrake, and 360-degree camera.

Dealers say the new 1.5 Turbo version will be delivered to customers in June and will still be assembled at Truong Hai's factory in Quang Nam.

The addition of the 1.5 Turbo Luxury version helps Kia Seltos become the B-size CUV with the most versions to choose from in the segment. The price of Seltos ranges from 599-799 million VND.

Seltos is the second best-selling model in the B-size CUV segment in 2023. In the first months of 2024, due to life cycle transfer, supply gradually decreased from the factory, Seltos sales decreased sharply compared to the same period in 2023.

After 4 months of 2024, Kia Seltos sold 1,539 cars, ranking 5th in the segment, just above the second-to-last model in the sales rankings, Mazda CX-3 (598 cars).
