Refusing to comply with alcohol test, a person in Tu Ky beat a police officer

As planned, on the evening of November 29, the Tu Ky District Police Working Group organized patrols, controlled and set up a checkpoint to check alcohol concentration at km 10+750 of Provincial Road 391 in Dai Son Commune.

At around 8:30 p.m. on November 29, the checkpoint discovered Mr. Vu Duc B. (born in 1971, residing in Dai Son commune, Tu Ky) riding a motorbike from Hai Duong city to Tu Ky town showing signs of alcohol use. He immediately signaled to stop the vehicle for an alcohol test. Mr. B. did not comply with the order and "passed the checkpoint".

In the face of the above incident, the police officer on duty at the pursuit checkpoint requested Mr. B. to comply with the regulations. The task force stopped Mr. B.'s vehicle when it reached gas station No. 38, located in Hung Dao commune (Tu Ky). There, the task force propagandized, mobilized and requested Mr. B. to comply with the alcohol concentration test. Mr. B. did not comply, but parked his vehicle and went into the gas station's restroom. When he came out, Mr. B. shouted, challenged, argued and then hit a police officer in the face with his motorbike helmet. Immediately, the task force was able to control Mr. B.

The police officer who was beaten by Mr. B. was immediately taken to a medical facility for first aid and is currently in stable condition.

The police then checked and discovered that Mr. B. had a breath alcohol concentration of 0.741 mg/l.

The Investigation Police Agency of Tu Ky District Police is investigating and clarifying the case.
