On November 4, the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Ha district coordinated with the District Culture and Sports Center to organize the Thanh Ha district Primary and Secondary School Chess Tournament for the 2023-2024 school year.
The tournament attracted 306 players, representing 41 primary and secondary schools in the district to register to participate. Players were drawn and paired using Swiss Manager software (the computer automatically draws lots on specialized software). The tournament applied the rules of the rapid chess format, each game was limited to 15 minutes.
As a result, Thanh Khe commune school won first prize, Thanh Hai commune won second prize and Thanh Ha town won third prize. The best players will be selected to compete at the provincial level.
