Lieutenant General To An Xo, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Security, said that the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency has issued a decision to prosecute, an arrest warrant, and a search warrant for former Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Nhan Chien.
As a result of the expanded investigation into the case of violations of bidding regulations causing serious consequences occurring at the Medical Construction Project Management Board under the Department of Health of Bac Ninh province, AIC Company and related units, on January 24, the Investigation Police Agency of the Ministry of Public Security (Department of Investigation Police on Crimes of Corruption, Economy, and Smuggling) issued a decision to prosecute, an arrest warrant for temporary detention, and a search warrant for Nguyen Nhan Chien, former Chairman of the People's Committee, former Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee, for the crime of accepting bribes as prescribed in Clause 4, Article 354 of the 2015 Penal Code.
On January 24, after the Supreme People's Procuracy (Department 3) approved the above decisions and orders, the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency organized the implementation in accordance with legal regulations.
The Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency is continuing to expand the investigation of the case, applying measures according to law to thoroughly recover assets for the State.
