The Imagine Cup Junior 2024 artificial intelligence playground has officially launched to encourage young people to use artificial intelligence (AI) technology to support and change complex global issues.
On the morning of March 11, the Imagine Cup Junior 2024 competition officially launched in person in Hanoi and connected online to 3,500 students nationwide.
This is the third year the competition has been held in Vietnam for students aged 5-18, aiming to encourage young people to use artificial intelligence (AI) technology to support and change complex human problems.
At the launching ceremony, Mr. To Hong Nam - Deputy Director of the Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Education and Training - said that the contest aims to arouse passion and learning about digital technology and especially artificial intelligence of Vietnamese students.
The contest also helps Vietnamese students promote their love of technology and ideas to apply technology to solve life problems as well as address major challenges in the world such as: climate change, human health, protecting cultural heritage, supporting people with disabilities, etc.
Mr. Nam commented that the fact that Vietnamese students were among the 10 winning teams globally shows their intelligence, creativity, and teamwork skills, while also demonstrating their ideas and ambitions to improve environmental and social issues, and apply technology to solve global problems.
Team Sky-Line Humanitarian (Da Nang) - representing Vietnam to win in 2022 - expressed their joy at achieving glory in the international arena. With their initiative, the Vietnamese team applied AI to search and connect hospitals with blood donors based on blood type and encouraged people to donate blood.
"Just be confident, seek to learn, the competition will be a valuable experience to help you confidently fight and conquer your dreams" - the team representative shared.

By participating in the competition, students will be introduced to the latest technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning and network security and receive documents and access to Microsoft Education's global artificial intelligence learning resources.
At the same time, receive scholarships to support learning, technology gifts from Aptech Vietnam and support, training, guidance from a team of consultants who are experienced information technology experts and the opportunity to participate in the course "Unleash creativity with AI", applying AI to solve problems in learning and daily life.
In particular, candidates have the opportunity to participate in the global Imagine Cup Junior competition and participate in global Hackathons organized by Microsoft.
