Affirming the profound value of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's works

Comrade Le Van Hieu, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation delivered a concluding speech at the workshop.

On the morning of December 21, the Provincial Party Standing Committee organized a scientific workshop on the value of the work "Some theoretical and practical issues on socialism and the path to socialism in Vietnam" by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and its significance for the current research and teaching of political theory at the Provincial Political School.

Comrades: Le Van Hieu, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; People's Teacher, Major General, Associate Professor. Dr. Nguyen Ba Duong, in charge of expert group 35 of the Central Military Commission, member of the Central Theoretical Council, former Director of the Institute of Military Social Sciences and Humanities; Dr. Nguyen Thi Nhat Thu, Provincial Party Committee member, Principal of the Provincial Political School chaired the workshop.

Also attending the workshop were Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Quang Dinh, Director of the Institute of Philosophy, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; delegates who are scientists working at the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, delegates from the Department of Theory, Central Propaganda Department; leaders of Hung Yen, Ninh Binh, Quang Ninh Political Schools, Nguyen Van Cu Political School (Bac Ninh) and To Hieu Political School (Hai Phong); leaders of a number of departments, branches, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations of the province, the Political Centers of districts, towns and cities.

A scientific work of high theoretical significance, causing resonance

In his opening speech at the workshop, People's Teacher, Major General, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Ba Duong emphasized that the Party's 13th National Congress Documents continued to affirm that "Our country's path to socialism is consistent with Vietnam's reality and the development trend of the times", which is the best way to achieve the goal of national independence and socialism. The Central Propaganda Department, the Central Theoretical Council and the National Political Publishing House Truth have jointly published the work "Some theoretical and practical issues on socialism and the path to socialism in Vietnam" by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. The work has further clarified the affirmation that "Our country's path to socialism is consistent with Vietnam's reality and the development trend of the times", contributing to the development of the Party's awareness and theoretical thinking; Promote summarizing practices, researching and developing theories, promptly providing scientific bases to serve the Party's leadership, helping Party and State agencies do a good job of advising and consulting on policy and guideline planning in new historical conditions.

Highlighting the significance and value of the book, People's Teacher, Major General, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Ba Duong commented that the work is a scientific work of high theoretical significance, causing great resonance and influence on society; attracting the attention of the entire Party, the entire people, the entire army and many politicians, experts and international friends. With the intellectual capacity and profoundness of the leader of our Party, the General Secretary has summarized the achievements in theoretical development, the latest practical results of the Communist Party of Vietnam on socialism and the path to socialism in Vietnam, clearly pointing out the theoretical and practical basis, guiding the perception and implementation of the Party's policies and guidelines in the cause of innovation, building and defending the Vietnamese Fatherland.

Speaking at the workshop, Associate Professor Dr. Dang Quang Dinh stated that each article and speech by the General Secretary had vivid content, deeply expressing general theoretical issues, deeply imbued with Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh's thought; at the same time, thoroughly analyzing the actual situation and current events; summarizing practical issues over 35 years of renovation; outlining pressing, prominent issues that need to be resolved and solved, which are urgently facing the sustainable development of the country. The work continues to affirm and strengthen people's belief in socialism and the path to socialism in Vietnam, thereby affirming the objective inevitability of victory of the renovation process; arousing the will of self-reliance, self-reliance, and the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country. Associate Professor Dr. Dang Quang Dinh added that the General Secretary's book has provided many new suggestions, arguments, and approaches to socialism as a society truly for the people; progressive, humane, united society; a political system where real power belongs to the people...

Dr. Nguyen Thanh Trung, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that when studying the content of building an advanced Vietnamese culture with strong national identity in the work of the General Secretary, each person has a clearer understanding of the role of culture and the relationship between culture and people. Culture is not only affirmed as one of the four pillars of the Party's decisive policy on building and developing the country, but also a guarantee for the socialist orientation of the economy, demonstrating the humanity and superiority of the regime with the aim of being oriented towards people, for happiness and comprehensive development of people.

Colonel Bui Vinh Duoc, Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, acknowledged that the work of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong is a profound work on practical issues for the armed forces; the issue of building a strong and comprehensive army, firmly protecting the Fatherland early and from afar. The book especially emphasizes the complicated developments in the world and the region, many unfavorable factors, and the risk of instability in national sovereignty... From there, it raises the issue of firmly protecting sovereignty, national interests, the people and socialism; maintaining political stability, national security, and social order and safety.

Important materials in teaching political theory

From the perspective of a political theory lecturer, Dr. Dang Thi Mai, Vice Principal of the Provincial Political School, believes that the contents of the book are important documents to help cadres and lecturers equip and consolidate systematic, comprehensive, and clearer knowledge about the theory and practice of socialism and the path to socialism in Vietnam; the socialist-oriented market economy. It is a valuable document on the theoretical and practical basis for cadres and lecturers to improve the quality of teaching social sciences to the school's subjects.

At the workshop, delegates also spent a lot of time sharing extensively on a number of major issues raised about socialism and Vietnam's choice of the path to socialism; Vietnam's model of socialism; how to successfully build socialism in Vietnam through works; exchanging and answering questions from cadres and teachers of Political Schools and Political Centers about the General Secretary's works...

In his concluding remarks at the workshop, Mr. Le Van Hieu, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, acknowledged the sense of responsibility and enthusiasm of the delegates attending the workshop. The workshop received 30 submissions and comments (directly and in writing) from scientists, local political lecturers, and management staff. The comments expressed the sentiments, enthusiasm, and responsibility for the issues raised in the workshop program; analyze, affirm and further develop the content of the General Secretary's work, at the same time, deeply research and apply it to solve strategic, urgent and long-term issues... The workshop unanimously affirmed that the work "Some theoretical and practical issues on socialism and the path to socialism in Vietnam" by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong is a work of high theoretical generalization, a profound practical summary of our Party's unique creative developments on socialism and the path to socialism in Vietnam on the basis of applying and creatively developing Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh's thought. In particular, the work has deeply and convincingly explained fundamental issues such as what is socialism; why Vietnam chooses the path to socialism; What is the significance of the practice of innovation and national construction in the transitional period to socialism in our country in the past and what issues are raised in the next steps... This is an important theoretical basis for planning the direction and setting out the strategic tasks and tactics of the Vietnamese revolution. From there, build and strengthen the will, strength and belief in socialism, mobilize the people, gather forces, mobilize resources, arouse national consciousness, patriotism, and the aspiration to build a prosperous and powerful country.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Van Hieu emphasized that after the workshop, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee will continue to pay attention to leadership, direction, create conditions, and assign the Provincial Political School to promote coordination with departments, branches, and organizations of the province to successfully implement the Project "Building a standard Political School, a center for training and fostering provincial cadres, civil servants, and public employees in the period of 2021 - 2030". The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee also proposed and hoped to continue to receive attention, promote learning exchanges, and share experiences of provincial Political Schools in the Northern region and nationwide with the Hai Duong Provincial Political School. Each cadre, lecturer and student of Hai Duong Provincial Political School needs to uphold the sense of responsibility, apply the contents and results of the conference, especially the works of the General Secretary, to teaching, research and study, meeting the requirements and tasks, contributing to the successful implementation of political tasks of agencies, units and localities in the province.
