According to TASS news agency, on June 5, the broadcasting activities of the MIR International Radio and Television Company (Russia) were restored after a cyber attack, leading to the dissemination of some false information.

A press release issued by MIR said that unidentified individuals carried out a cyber attack on Mir TV and Mir Radio news programs between 12:41 and 13:18 (local time) and replaced the broadcast content.

The statement stressed that all content transmitted during this period was not edited by MIR and was completely "fake and provocative."

Broadcasting of Mir TV and Mir Radio channels was quickly restored the same day.

Earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that President Vladimir Putin did not make any urgent speeches on television and radio during the day, according to the content of a fake audio recording that some TV channels broadcast.

The recording was released under the guise of a statement by President Putin, which mentioned the decision to impose martial law in Russia's border regions and the President's intention to sign a decree on general mobilization.

This content is also spread on social networks.

According to Mr. Peskov, so far, all recordings have been removed, while specialized agencies are investigating and handling the case.
