The Women's Union at 2 levels of Thanh Mien district is sponsoring 196 orphans and children in difficult circumstances. To date, the unions at all levels have given 2 billion VND in support from businesses and benefactors to the children.
Since implementing the "Godmother" program, the Thanh Mien District Women's Union has awarded about 2 billion VND in support from agencies, units, businesses, and philanthropists to orphans and children in difficult circumstances in the district.
Through screening, Thanh Mien district has 475 orphans and children in difficult circumstances. The Women's Union at 2 levels has connected and mobilized agencies, businesses and philanthropists to sponsor 196 children with a commitment of 3.5 billion VND. Of which, Huong Huynh Production, Trade and Service Company Limited (Hanoi) has sponsored 105 children for 2-3 years, each child receiving support of 500,000 VND/month.
Thanh Mien District Women's Union is the unit that takes care of and sponsors the most orphans and children in difficult circumstances in the province.
The "Godmother" program in Hai Duong will be implemented from April 2022.
