Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association of Hai Duong province performs well in people's foreign affairs tasks

Attending the congress were Professor Dao Trong Thi, former member of the Party Central Committee, former member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, former Chairman of the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association; Mr. Vladimir Vladimirovich, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Vietnam, Director of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Hanoi; comrades: Vu Van Son, former Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Trieu The Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and representatives of leaders of a number of departments, branches and a number of friendship associations inside and outside the province.

Speaking at the Congress, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trieu The Hung acknowledged and praised the achievements that the association has made in the past time, and has been promoting its role in the people's foreign affairs of Hai Duong province. Thereby, consolidating and developing the solidarity, friendship and amicable relations between people of countries around the world and the people of Vietnam in general, the people of Hai Duong province and the people of the Russian Federation in particular. At the same time, actively contributing to the successful implementation of the foreign policy of the Party and State in developing relations with Russia into a comprehensive strategic partnership.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trieu The Hung suggested that the association continue to be a bridge to deepen solidarity and friendship with peoples of countries around the world as well as the people of the Russian Federation; regularly coordinate with the people's organizations of the province to effectively carry out people's foreign affairs tasks, friendly activities to improve the effectiveness of cooperation between Vietnam and the Russian Federation. Innovate the content and form of activities of the association, focusing on developing members who are young generations, intellectuals and businessmen to participate in the association's work, helping the young generation of Hai Duong understand the relationship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation. Strengthen connections with organizations and enterprises of the Russian Federation to expand cooperation, investment and exchange between the two countries.

The Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association of Hai Duong province was established in 2003, gathering a large number of people who studied, worked and studied in the former Soviet Union. Up to now, the association has 9 member organizations with hundreds of members.

The Association is the focal point for training cooperation between Hai Duong University and the Moscow Institute of Economics and Law; organizes many friendly meetings, information exchanges, cultural and artistic exchanges...

In the 2023-2028 term, the association will continue to consolidate, develop, and attract young people to actively participate in activities; seek support and cooperation from the people of the two countries, especially the people of the provinces or regions twinned with Hai Duong province in the Russian Federation. Focus on coordination between educational and training institutions, focusing on high schools, vocational schools and universities. Support and participate in creating linkage chains between public service units, businesses and economic households between the two countries, investing in the province and the Russian Federation. Actively respond to literary and artistic composition competitions about the two countries of Vietnam - the Russian Federation...

On this occasion, many collectives and individuals were awarded certificates of merit and commemorative medals by the Central Committee of the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association, the Central Committee of the Russia - Vietnam Friendship Association, and the Provincial People's Committee for their contributions to the association's work to preserve and strengthen the friendship and cooperation between the people of Vietnam and the Russian Federation.

The Congress elected the 3rd Executive Committee of 27 members. Mr. Pham Duc Binh was elected as Chairman of the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association of Hai Duong province, 3rd term.
