According to the Dike Management Department of Cam Giang District (Hai Duong), by May 18, the construction unit had completed 80% of the project volume to renovate the water intake culvert of Tien Kieu Pumping Station.
Completed items include welding of the dike mouth, culvert body, and installation of culvert wings. Currently, the contractor is continuing to implement auxiliary items such as building the canal system on the field side, revetment of the dike slope, pouring concrete on the dike surface, etc.
The project to renovate the water intake culvert of Tien Kieu pumping station at km12+600 on the right bank of Thai Binh river, in Duc Chinh commune (Cam Giang) is part of package 4, component project 5 to urgently handle critical culverts under the dyke of Hai Duong province, invested by the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, using central capital.
The project started construction on December 15, 2023 and is expected to be completed on September 12, 2024.
The Tien Kieu Pumping Station water intake culvert was newly built on the old culvert foundation, with the task of supplying water to 650 hectares of cultivated land in Duc Chinh, Cao An, Cam Vu, Cam Van communes of Cam Giang district and draining water for more than 2,000 hectares in this area.
