The program "Exploring the Heritage of Other Countries" brings children a day of fun, learning and meaningful cultural experiences after a year of hard study.

On June 1-2, the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology will organize the program "Exploring the heritage of other countries" for children on the occasion of the beginning of Summer.

When participating in this program, children will have the opportunity to exchange, learn and explore the cultural heritage of Vietnam as well as other countries around the world.

Through the program, children will be encouraged to love and care for the nation's cultural heritage, thereby enhancing the spirit of preserving, protecting and promoting traditional cultural values ​​in the context of international integration.

Participating in the program, children can travel and explore Southeast Asia through painting cultural heritages, as well as learn many interesting things about national flags, capitals and currencies of countries.

Besides, those who love painting have the opportunity to freely create on paintings of national costumes of Vietnam and some other countries.

In addition, young visitors who are passionate about acting will have the opportunity to transform into talented puppeteers, controlling funny puppets themselves, creating creative and witty performances.

Traditional water puppetry is also introduced through fun performances by artists from Dong Ngu water puppetry troupe, Thuan Thanh, Bac Ninh.

Coming to the program "Exploring the heritage of other countries," visitors and children can participate in activities to explore heritage through technology.

Visitors can experience learning about cultural heritage through scientific activities that develop creative thinking.

Along with that, many games from Vietnam and other countries are also organized such as o an quan (Indonesia, Malaysia), tuho (Korea), bean bag tossing (Japan), tug of war (Thailand), hopscotch (India, Peru), can throwing (Philippines)...

Folk games not only bring joy and multinational cultural connections, but are also a way for children to explore the similarities and differences between countries.

In particular, on June 1, Hmong children from Suoi Giang, Van Chan district, Yen Bai province will perform folk art and traditional games of the Hmong people.

Visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the Hmong panpipe dance, melodious flute sounds, impressive pao throwing, skillful top-playing and powerful stick pushing.

Hmong children will share stories of daily life in the highlands and participate in village classroom activities, helping children in Hanoi learn more about Hmong culture and enhance mutual understanding.

Dr. Bui Ngoc Quang, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, said that the program "Happy discovery of heritage of other countries" brings children a day of fun, learning and meaningful cultural experiences after a year of hard study.

The museum has a free admission policy for people with disabilities and ethnic minority children, with the desire to convey the message that the museum is for everyone.
