Airlines open peach and apricot blossom transport services to serve people's Tet holiday
Vietnam Airlines said that from January 11 to February 24 (ie December 1 of the lunar calendar, the year of the Cat, to January 15 of the year of the Dragon), the airline will accept peach and apricot blossoms as checked baggage on domestic flights.
Accordingly, peach and apricot branches must be tied into bundles, each bundle must be a maximum of 150x40x40cm in size and each bundle must not contain more than 2 branches. Each passenger is allowed to carry 1 peach or apricot bunch as checked baggage, provided that the seat has been confirmed in advance on domestic flights operated by Vietnam Airlines or Pacific Airlines.
Shipping fee is 450,000 VND/bundle (excluding VAT).
Vietnam Airlines does not accept to transport ornamental plants, flower plants and other plants in pots/covered with soil as checked baggage. At the same time, the airline does not apply prepaid baggage for the service of transporting peach and apricot branches.
In case the customer's peach or apricot branches are not confirmed for service on the passenger reservation system, they can be transported as cargo.
Similarly, Vietjet will also deploy apricot and peach blossom transportation service from January 25 to February 24 (ie December 15, year of the Cat to January 15, year of the Dragon) with a price of 450,000 VND/bunch.
Vietjet's apricot and peach blossom delivery service is available on domestic flights to and from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Lat, Da Nang, Hai Phong. Each customer is allowed to transport 1 bunch with no more than 2 branches/bunch, with outer packaging.
Vietjet also does not recognize trees or pots with soil, the size must not exceed 150cm x 40cm x 40cm. Customers need to register for the apricot and peach blossom transportation service at least 3 hours before the scheduled departure time of the flight.
