South Korea conducts live-fire drills with MRLS multiple launch system

The South Korean military announced on June 25 that it conducted a live-fire exercise with the domestically produced Chunmoo multiple rocket launcher system (MRLS).

The exercise aims to enhance precision strike capabilities and readiness to respond to artillery threats.

About 190 South Korean soldiers participated in the exercise, which involved seven Chunmoo MRLS units, as well as about 80 pieces of equipment operated by the Navy and Air Force, including frigates and fighter jets, the South Korean military said.

According to the announcement, during the exercise held at a firing range in Boryeong city in South Chungcheong province, 140 km southwest of Seoul, 48 long-range guided missiles were launched from Chunmoo units to hit targets 55 km away.
