On the afternoon of April 16, a representative of the provincial Center for Disease Control said that Hai Duong City had another outbreak of chickenpox at Nguyen Luong Bang Primary School with 8 cases, mainly 5th grade students.
The outbreak has now been controlled with no new cases. This is the second outbreak in Hai Duong City after the outbreak at Gia Xuyen Primary School with 53 infected students. Both outbreaks recorded the latest cases on April 12. Many children have recovered and returned to school.
According to statistics from the provincial Center for Disease Control from the beginning of the year to April 16, the whole province has recorded 170 people with chickenpox, mainly in 4 outbreaks at primary schools: Thanh Lang (Thanh Ha), Pham Tran (Gia Loc), Gia Xuyen and Nguyen Luong Bang (Hai Duong City).
