Hai Duong considers supporting 800 million VND/km of internal traffic road for tourist areas

On the afternoon of April 2, Comrade Trieu The Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Duong province chaired the first meeting of the Provincial People's Committee in April to discuss and resolve a number of contents and reports reported by the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Home Affairs, Health, Education and Training, Construction and the People's Committee of Hai Duong city.

At the meeting, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism proposed that the Provincial People's Committee consider developing a policy to support tourism development in Hai Duong province in the period of 2024-2030 to submit to the Provincial People's Council. The Department proposed 9 policies to support tourism development. That is, support for investment in building new or upgrading and renovating houses with rooms for tourists to rent with an expected support level of 100 million VND/new project, 50 million VND/renovated project. Support 500 million VND to build a house to welcome guests, introduce and display tourism products, agricultural products, small-scale industries, and craft villages to serve tourists.

Support 100 million VND/public toilet serving tourists; 70% of the cost of purchasing means of transport serving tourists. Maximum support 50 million VND for Establish and maintain the activities of local mass art troupes and clubs to serve tourists; 800 million VND/km of internal roads in tourist areas; 100 million VND to build parking lots. Support 90% of tourism resource development costs; 20% of investment costs to develop new tourism products. All policies have conditions and support limits.

The above support policy is applied to organizations, families, and individuals carrying out tourism development activities in the province. The total estimated budget for supporting tourism development in the 2024-2030 period of the province is more than 119 billion VND.
