Hai Duong restores 8 native plant varieties

According to the Department of Science and Technology, in recent years, Hai Duong has restored, maintained and developed 8 valuable indigenous plant varieties in agricultural production, exploited to serve the work of selecting varieties, starting materials for selecting parent lines to develop production including golden flower sticky rice, tangerine sticky rice, lychee, Thanh Hong peach grapefruit, Tan Thang grapefruit, Hai Duong prickly cucumber, Mieu Son - Thai Hoc taro, 3-core red peanuts in Kinh Mon town, Thanh Ha, Kim Thanh, Nam Sach districts... These are plant varieties with many special advantages in quality, economic value, produced and developed by local people.

Hai Duong also preserves, maintains gene sources and selects and creates 19 aquatic species (cow fish, rai fish, mat fish, bamboo fish, fire fish, river loach, catfish, land catfish, green dam fish, various types of carp, white carp, various types of tilapia, and African catfish).
