Hai Duong records another dengue fever outbreak

According to the provincial Center for Disease Control, on September 8, Hai Duong recorded a new dengue fever outbreak with 2 cases of domestic origin in Tan Thanh village, Kim Anh commune (Kim Thanh). Epidemiological investigation showed that the houses of these 2 patients were about 50 meters apart. Within 14 days before the onset, the patients did not travel to an epidemic area. Currently, the patients are being treated at Hai Duong Provincial General Hospital.

Currently, the whole province has 4 outbreaks, including 1 outbreak in Kim Anh commune (Kim Thanh has 2 cases), 1 outbreak in Gia Tan commune (Gia Loc has 2 cases).) and 2 outbreaks in Hai Duong city: in Lien Hong commune there are 4 cases; zone 5, Cam Thuong ward has 3 cases.

Three outbreaks in Kim Lien (Kim Thanh), Doan Tung (Thanh Mien) and Gia Tan (Gia Loc) communes ended after 14 days, with no new cases recorded.

From January 1 to September 8, the whole province recorded 234 cases, an increase of 21 cases compared to the same period in 2022.

It is forecasted that the number of dengue fever cases will continue to increase in the coming time. The provincial Center for Disease Control recommends that localities, especially districts with outbreaks, closely monitor disease cases, suspected cases, clean up the environment, collect waste, and kill mosquito larvae.
