The first At Ty 2025 citizen at Hai Duong Obstetrics Hospital was welcomed with joy and emotion by his family and the medical team.
The baby born on the first day of the year of At Ty in Hai Duong is a girl. The baby was born at 1:40 a.m. by natural birth to Dinh Thi Hue in Hong Quang commune (Thanh Mien).
Although weighing only 2.2 kg, the baby is healthy and strong. After being cleaned and checked by doctors and nurses, the baby was returned to his mother's arms.
Ms. Dinh Thi Hue was moved when her first birth fell on the first day of Tet. For her, this was a double joy, celebrating the New Year and welcoming her first daughter. Her family planned to name the baby Nguyen Ngoc Bao Han with the hope that she would always be happy, active and a treasure to the family.
The midwife who delivered the first baby of the year of the Snake was Nguyen Thi Thuong. Ms. Thuong has 12 years of experience, 7 of which were on duty on New Year's Day. Although she is very familiar with the job, doing her duty at the beginning of the New Year always makes her feel warm.
“Hearing the baby cry at birth on the first day of the new year made me and the whole team feel indescribably excited. Every baby born is the beginning of a new life, especially on the first day of the new year, it is even luckier and more meaningful.”
In addition to Bao Han giving birth naturally on the first day of the Lunar New Year, Hai Duong Obstetrics Hospital successfully treated an elderly pregnant woman. Ms. Ho Hai Luy, 35 years old, from Gia Xuyen Commune (Hai Duong City) was admitted to the hospital at 38 weeks pregnant, with broken water and severe abdominal pain. Doctors urgently performed a timely cesarean section. Ms. Luy successfully gave birth on the morning of the first day of the Lunar New Year, giving birth to a healthy baby girl.
Having given birth twice, Ms. Luy was a bit complacent, thinking that her due date was still more than 2 weeks away. Therefore, the baby arrived on the first day of Tet, surprising her and her whole family.
The family is still considering and choosing the most suitable name for the baby. However, the whole family agreed to call the baby Na at home. “This is a funny and cute way that people often call snakes. Because the baby was born in the year of the Snake, the family will use this name to call the baby as a way to mark the year of birth of the baby,” Ms. Luy happily said.
Babies born on the first day of the year of the Snake not only bring happiness to the family but also bring joy to the medical staff on duty.
Doctor Nguyen Thi Hue, the team leader who directly performed the cesarean section for the pregnant woman Ho Hai Luy, shared: “I have worked for 21 years and have been on duty 5 times on the first day of Tet, so I am very familiar with emergency cases of pregnant women in critical condition. However, each emergency case brings a different emotion. Only when the mother and child are safe can the mother breathe a sigh of relief.”
As of 12:00 on the first day of Tet, Hai Duong Obstetrics Hospital has welcomed 11 At Ty baby citizens. Of these, 10 babies were born naturally and 1 baby had to undergo a cesarean section. All mothers and babies are safe and healthy.
Dr. Nguyen Xuan Huy, Director of Hai Duong Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, informed that during Tet, the hospital arranges on-duty teams of highly skilled and specialized doctors and nurses with 10 years of experience or more. The hospital always believes that during important moments or holidays, there must be the most thorough and thoughtful preparation so that pregnant women and their families can feel secure and confident.
