Hai Duong proposes Prime Minister to approve provincial planning

The planning scope includes the entire natural area of ​​Hai Duong province, with a scale of 1,668.28 km²includes 12 district-level administrative units (2 cities, 1 town and 9 districts).

The general goal by 2030 is that Hai Duong strives to become a modern industrial province, a dynamic industrial center of the Red River Delta, with a large economic scale in the country. The economic and social infrastructure is synchronous; the urban system develops in a green, smart, modern, and unique direction; achieving a number of basic criteria of a centrally-run city.

In which, the average economic growth rate is about 9.5%/year, the average income per capita is over 180 million VND/year. The population size is about 2.55 million people with an average population growth of about 2.9%/year. The rate of trained workers is 90%, the unemployment rate is below 2%, the rate of poor households according to the multidimensional poverty standard maintains a decrease of 1 - 1.5%/year. The rate of national standard schools strives for preschool levels to reach over 90%, primary school to reach 100%, secondary school to reach over 95%; high school to reach over 90%. The ratio of hospital beds/10,000 people is 40.5 beds (excluding commune-level health stations); the number of doctors/10,000 people is 15 doctors. The urbanization rate is over 55%...

The planning of Hai Duong province is expected to include directions for the development of important sectors, plans for organizing socio-economic activities; plans for planning urban systems and organizing rural areas; plans for developing functional areas; plans for developing technical infrastructure; plans for developing social infrastructure; land allocation and zoning; plans for planning construction of inter-district and district areas; plans for environmental protection, exploitation, use and protection of resources, biodiversity, natural disaster prevention and response to climate change.

Previously, on November 6, the People's Council of Hai Duong province issued a resolution approving the dossier for approval of the provincial planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050.
