The Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of districts, cities, towns, sectors and units closely monitor weather and natural disaster forecasts to proactively prevent and avoid them.

According to information from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting and the Hai Duong Provincial Hydro-Meteorological Station, from the night of September 12 to September 14, Hai Duong will have moderate rain, heavy rain, and some places will have very heavy rain and thunderstorms. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind. The average rainfall in 48 hours is from 80-150 mm, higher in some places, with a risk of flash floods and landslides in mountainous areas and flooding in low-lying areas and urban areas.

To proactively respond and minimize damage caused by heavy rain, thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind, the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue requests the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of districts, cities, towns, relevant sectors and units to closely monitor warning bulletins, forecasts, weather and natural disaster situations to promptly inform authorities at all levels and people to proactively prevent.

Organize inspections and reviews of key areas for natural disaster prevention, residential areas along rivers and streams, steep mountain slopes at risk of landslides, and low-lying areas to proactively deploy warning and response plans to ensure the safety of life and property of the state and people.

The Provincial Irrigation Works Exploitation One Member Co., Ltd. and Chi Linh City inspect, review, and implement plans to operate and ensure the safety of reservoirs and downstream areas, paying attention to key irrigation reservoirs; arrange a permanent force to operate and regulate and be ready to handle possible situations. Deploy measures to be ready to drain water, protect production; prevent flooding in urban areas and low-lying areas to minimize damage; compile statistics and report on damage and immediately implement measures to overcome the consequences of natural disasters (if any) according to regulations.

Organize regular and serious duty and regularly report to the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue.
