On May 1, the final matches of the 27th National Wrestling Championship 2023 took place at the temple of General Cao Lo Vuong, Cao Duc commune, Gia Binh district, Bac Ninh province.

The tournament was organized by the General Department of Sports and Physical Training, Vietnam Wrestling Federation in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Ninh province and Gia Binh District People's Committee.
The Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to the Hanoi team with 2 Gold Medals, 7 Silver Medals, and 4 Bronze Medals. The second prize to the Vinh Phuc team with 2 Gold Medals, 3 Silver Medals, and 4 Bronze Medals. The Bac Ninh team ranked third with 2 Gold Medals, 2 Silver Medals, and 6 Bronze Medals.
Along with that, the Organizing Committee awarded 18 sets of medals to the wrestlers.
Specifically, in the 48kg weight class, wrestler Dao Hong Thai (Lam Dong) won the Gold Medal; in the 51kg weight class, wrestler Nguyen Dinh Khuong (Lam Dong) won the Gold Medal; in the 54kg weight class, Le Van Huyen (Army) won the Gold Medal; in the 57kg weight class, Nguyen Kim Bao (Nghe An) won the Gold Medal.
In the 60kg category, wrestler Nguyen Van Hop (Police) won the Gold Medal. In the 63kg category, wrestler Pham Van Co (Thua Thien - Hue) won the Gold Medal; In the 66kg category, Nguyen Huu Minh (Hanoi) won the Gold Medal.
In the 69kg weight class, Dao Nhu Tan (Bac Ninh) won the Gold Medal; In the 72kg weight class, To Minh Hau (Bac Giang) won the Gold Medal; In the 75kg weight class, Le Dai Phuc (Phu Tho) won the Gold Medal.
In the 78kg weight class, Ngo Duc Manh (Vinh Phuc) won the Gold Medal; In the 81kg weight class, Tran Van Lam (Hai Phong) won the Gold Medal; In the 84kg weight class, wrestler Bui Manh Thuong (Hanoi) won the Gold Medal.
In the 87kg weight class, Ngo Thanh Tan (Vinh Phuc) won the Gold Medal; in the 90kg weight class, Ho Sy Hai (Police) won the Gold Medal; in the 95kg weight class, Tran Van An (Thai Nguyen) won the Gold Medal.
In the 100kg weight class, Tran Van Luyen (Tuyen Quang) won the Gold Medal and Vu Van Xuong (Bac Ninh) in the over 100kg weight class won the Gold Medal.
The tournament attracted the participation of 128 athletes from provinces, cities and sectors including: Hanoi, Tuyen Quang, Phu Tho, Ninh Binh, Bac Giang, Lam Dong, Bac Ninh, Public Security, Ha Nam, Thua Thien - Hue, Vinh Phuc, Nghe An, Thai Nguyen, Hai Phong and the Army. The athletes competed in 18 events.
This is a practical activity to celebrate the 48th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2023) and International Labor Day May 1; to celebrate the 2,300th anniversary of the birth of General Cao Lo Vuong. The tournament contributes to encouraging and promoting the movement of practicing Traditional Wrestling for young people; at the same time, evaluating the results of practicing and competing in Traditional Wrestling of provinces, cities and sectors nationwide.
