The head of the American artificial intelligence company OpenAI - Sam Altman, the father of the Chat application GPT, said he is willing to invest in promising startups in Korea.
OpenAI CEO Open to Investing in Korean Startups
During a meeting with businessmen in this country, he said that Korea is one of the most potential markets for Chat GPT.
Prior to working at OpenAI, Sam Altman ran a startup investment firm and had success funding deep tech companies.
He said he was impressed by the Korean people's reception of the latest artificial intelligence technology led by ChatGPT.
The visit to South Korea is part of the Chat GPT creator’s global tour to meet with lawmakers and heads of state to discuss the prospects and threats of artificial intelligence. The trip comes as many countries around the world are moving toward legislation to address safety concerns related to artificial intelligence, given the rapid development of Chat GPT.
Sam Altman said he hopes South Korea can play a role in the dialogue to form a new global framework for the responsible use of artificial intelligence.
