Nearly 1,000 books on display at the Summer Reading Festival for Children

The festival with the theme "The World I Read" takes place from May 31 to June 9 with a series of activities: Exhibition of art books; Exhibition of books on the occasion of the 134th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2024), the 65th anniversary of the opening of the Ho Chi Minh trail - Traditional day of Truong Son troops (May 19, 1959 - May 19, 2024). Books on history, folk games, life skills, popular science, reference books to improve knowledge for students, entertaining comics... suitable for children.

Organize a free reading corner. Organize booths to introduce 10,000 good books from reputable publishers nationwide at preferential prices. Organize a painting contest for primary school students in the province with the theme of Dien Bien echoes. Activities for children to practice printing and coloring folk paintings, quizzes with prizes, entertaining games, instructions on drowning prevention and safe drowning rescue skills...

The Summer Reading Festival for Children is an annual activity of Hai Duong Provincial Library to encourage and develop the reading movement, create a reading culture space and opportunities for children to experience many useful recreational activities during the summer, helping them have the opportunity to exchange, study and live in a healthy cultural environment.

On the same morning, the Organizing Committee of the Dien Bien Echo Painting Contest awarded the excellent prize to Than Ngoc Diep, class 4E, Nguyen Luong Bang Primary School (Hai Duong City).
