Dung Taylor and Thu Phuong will get married in December.

Dung Taylor said Thu Phuong accepted his proposal on May 8, and then they registered their marriage. He chose his birthday to propose, hoping that his wife would not be able to refuse.

"Every year, my birthday is also a day of double happiness," he said. He revealed that the two are planning to hold a simple, cozy wedding at the end of this year in Hai Phong.

Before that, the two had been living together since 2012. According to Dung Taylor, he and his wife got engaged on December 12 of that year, but it was only now that Thu Phuong agreed to become his wife under American law. "Over the past 10 years, I had to go through Phuong's challenges to get her to accept. Engagement, in American culture, is a promise," he said.

Thu Phuong's husband described his wife as surprised, happy and completely satisfied when she wore the ring from her husband. For him, conquering his woman after a decade is truly incomparable happiness. "My children and relatives are very happy. My eldest daughter said: 'The day I've been waiting for the most has come'," Dung Taylor said.

Dung Taylor's real name is Nguyen Anh Dung, he used to be an engineer before switching to the arts. Overseas, he is famous as a show producer and the husband of singer Thu Phuong. Since they met, Dung Taylor has supported and assisted Thu Phuong when she was working in the arts in the US. The two have two children together, Gia Bao and Thanh Thuy. Thu Phuong's two stepchildren are also currently living with the family.

Thu Phuong was born in 1972 in Hai Phong, one of the golden voices of Vietnamese pop music in the 1990s.
