On the first night of Tet, some people set off fireworks in the middle of Pham Ngu Lao Street (Hai Duong City).

On the evening of the first day of the Lunar New Year 2024, some people brought fireworks produced by the Ministry of National Defense to the middle of Pham Ngu Lao Street (Hai Duong City) and burned them. This caused traffic congestion and traffic safety problems. There were also many electric wires near the fireworks display, which could easily lead to fire or explosion.

Some people, after setting off fireworks, do not throw the shells in the trash but leave them in the middle of the road along with bricks, potentially causing accidents for passersby. Not only that, some families even allow children to participate in setting off these fireworks.

On the packaging of each fireworks display of the Ministry of National Defense, people are advised not to burn them in places with flammable substances and not to let children under 12 years old use the product.

The Ministry of National Defense recommends and clearly states on the packaging of each firecracker that when used, fireworks should be placed in a flat, wide place, at least 4-5 m away from flammable materials, the safest distance is 10 m. People should not use fireworks near places containing flammable and explosive substances and materials; do not set off fireworks indoors or in covered spaces; the top must be airy, free of obstacles, power lines, etc.
