Novak Djokovic has reached the Monte Carlo Masters semi-finals. This makes Djokovic the first player to reach the Masters semi-finals 77 times.
A 7-5, 6-4 win over Alex De Minaur saw Djokovic reach his 77th Masters 1000 semi-final. That's more than any other player and a welcome result for the Serbian after a difficult start to 2024.
Djokovic will now meet Norwegian opponent Casper Ruud in the semi-finals tonight (April 13).
At 36, Djokovic is the oldest player to reach a Masters semifinal in the tournament's Open Era history. If he wins, Djokovic will reach 1,100 Masters match wins. At the same time, he will win his 41st Masters 1000 title.
