Entrance exam for 3 subjects to Nguyen Trai High School for the Gifted with high differentiation

Some teachers and many candidates agree that the exam for all three subjects is not riddled with riddles but has a very high level of differentiation, suitable for selecting excellent students for specialized study. The exam mainly has knowledge at the application and high application levels, requiring candidates to have deep, broad knowledge and good analytical and thinking skills. Candidates will not easily get high scores. Scores of 9-10 will be very rare.

The math test was quite difficult, highly differentiated, many candidates only thought they could get 4-6 points. Candidates could solve question 1, question 2, idea 1, question 3 and idea 1, question 4 well. From idea 2, question 3, idea 2, 3, question 4 and question 5, students were classified. Many candidates could not do idea 2, 3, question 4 related to geometry. Question 5 related to combinatorics, logical thinking, many candidates had never encountered it and only glanced at it, not touching it. Getting a score of 8 was very difficult.

The basic literature exam is the same as last year with 2 questions. Social discussion (4 points), literary discussion (6 points). Some teachers and many candidates said that the exam is quite interesting and new. The exam is narrower than last year and closer to students but still practical, highly differentiated... requiring students to have good practice in the types of questions, have thinking and reasoning to be able to convince the graders. Many candidates also said that the exam easily fooled students in the last question about the way of asking. The exam is interesting because candidates can relate to a wide range of works from grades 1 to 9 to express their feelings, not limited to the scope of knowledge like previous years. Depending on each student's analytical thinking as well as literary feelings, the average score for this exam will be around 5-7 points.

It is easier than math and literature, many candidates taking the biology exam said they could get 7-8 points. The biology exam is within their ability, not too difficult but still has very high differentiation questions, especially knowledge related to genetics. This year's exam is longer than last year's, to finish this exam you have to think quickly and flexibly to make it in time. Many candidates do not have enough time to finish the exam.

On the morning of June 3, there were 4 candidates absent without reason, no candidates, and no invigilators violated exam regulations. The Department of Education and Training also increased the number of exam inspectors here.

The weather continues to be hot. Police forces are on duty at the exam site to ensure traffic safety and security for the exam organization. Youth volunteers enthusiastically support and cheer on candidates.

In the afternoon, candidates continue to take the remaining specialized subjects including: English (120 minutes), physics, chemistry, history, geography (150 minutes).
