According to the Management Board of the Stork Island Eco-tourism Area, Chi Lang Nam Commune (Thanh Mien), on February 11 (the second day of Tet), the number of visitors to this tourist area increased about 10 times compared to normal days.
During the Lunar New Year holiday this year, the weather is favorable for sightseeing, so the Stork Island eco-tourism area welcomes a sudden increase in the number of tourists.
From February 8-11 (ie from the 29th of Tet to the 2nd day of Tet), Co Island welcomed about 1,200 visitors for sightseeing and entertainment. On February 11 alone, this tourist destination welcomed over 500 visitors, an increase of about 10 times compared to normal days and equivalent to the 2023 Tet holiday.
Due to the high number of visitors, the Management Board of the Stork Island Ecological Area has proactively increased its staff to ensure security and order and regulate traffic. 9 large boats and 15 swan boats are operating at full capacity. Stork Island has also used electronic ticket sales and QR code scanning to facilitate visitors.
Although the number of visitors has increased sharply, the prices of services at Stork Island remain stable as usual. Entrance fee is 20,000 VND/trip, swan boat is 100,000 VND/trip; children get 50% discount.
