Da Nang has many festivals and attractive check-in spots during Lunar New Year

Unique and large-scale Tet festivals

This Tet holiday, Sun World Ba Na Hills tourist area will have the 2024 Spring Festival lasting from January 20 to March 31. Coming here, visitors will be immersed in a colorful feast with hundreds of flowers such as tulips, roses, hydrangeas, peach blossoms... blooming in abundance.

Visitors to Ba Na this time will be able to participate in folk games, experience making banh chung… in a space imbued with the Vietnamese Tet holiday.

Mr. Nguyen Lam An - Director of Sun World Ba Na Hills tourist area - said: "Tourists coming to Ba Na this Tet holiday will not only see a new look of the tourist area, but also feel the full flavor of Vietnam's traditional Tet, enjoy the melodies and sounds of spring from many countries around the world".

Ms. Le Thi Bich Huong, communications and marketing director of Nui Than Tai tourist area, said that this tourist area will organize the Than Tai festival with many more attractive and larger-scale activities during the Lunar New Year.

The program will be held on the 2nd, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th and 16th of the lunar month from 8:30 to 11:30 every day.

The God of Wealth Festival will feature activities such as lion and dragon dances and drums, picking the first lucky branches of the year, hanging upside down wishing strings, writing the first words of spring...

"Along with that, art performances of Bài Chòi, tung tung za za dances of the Co Tu people, the ceremony to welcome the God of Wealth, the ceremony to pray for peace... will also be organized to serve tourists," Ms. Huong informed.

Check-in at spring flower street, lantern street...

Mr. Le Van Tuan - Deputy Director of the Department of Construction of Da Nang - informed that this year there will be 15 flower decoration clusters on the streets and public areas of the city.

In particular, the spring flower street along the Han River will be decorated with a large scene of the mascot "Dragon Seal of Destiny", miniature scenes of Lac Long Quan and Au Co, and miniature scenes of dragon and lion dances...

This year, the stylized dragon mascot image will be arranged in many flower decoration clusters on the sidewalk north of the Dragon Bridge (Hai Chau District). The flower decoration cluster on the sidewalk of APEC Park area is arranged with 4 flower pots decorated with details of the four sacred animals.

The area at the tail of the Dragon Bridge will also be arranged with a space to display Tet past and present, a garden of apricot and peach blossoms, folk models made from bamboo and wood, and a dragon model made from lanterns... promising to be an interesting check-in spot for tourists and locals.

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024, visitors to Asia Park (Da Nang) will be able to visit and check-in on the road with 5,000 bright red lanterns.

Along with that, from the 2nd to the 10th of Lunar New Year 2024, Asia Park will organize a series of experiential activities: calligraphers writing calligraphy, drawing portraits, checking in with body-painting artists, bingo games, traditional folk games and many exciting art programs.

On the 2nd and 3rd days of the Lunar New Year, lion and dragon dance performances will bring the vibrant atmosphere of the traditional Lunar New Year to visitors...
