The Chuzhou Intermediate People's Court in Anhui Province sentenced Zhou Jiangyong to death with a two-year reprieve, deprivation of political rights for life, and confiscation of all personal assets.
According to the court, from 2001 to 2021, Zhu Jiangyong took advantage of his positions in Zhejiang province to assist individuals and organizations in many activities such as project construction and project contracts.
The court emphasized that the defendant received an especially large amount of bribes and his actions caused serious harm to the interests of the state and the people.
