Ms. Hoang Thi Hao was born in 1969 in Ke Sat town (Binh Giang), has a bachelor's degree in finance and accounting from Maritime University.

Ms. Hao is one of three female deputies of the 12th National Assembly of the National Assembly Delegation of Hai Duong province. Ms. Hao was a member of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee, Vice President of the Hai Duong Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association, President of the Hai Duong Provincial Youth Entrepreneurs' Union, member of the Executive Committee of the Hai Duong Provincial Women's Union, and member of the Executive Committee of the Hai Duong Provincial Youth Union.

At that time, Ms. Hao was the Director of Hoang Vu Handicraft Enterprise, specializing in trading gold, silver, fine arts, 18k - 24k gold processing, teaching handicrafts... with quite high revenue and creating jobs and stable income for many workers.

As a member of the 12th National Assembly, Ms. Hao had some suggestions for the banking industry modernization project. She suggested that even with limited budgets, more investment should be made in preschool education, and that the inequality in education investment between cities and remote, isolated, and rural areas is quite large...

After several years away from parliament, this former National Assembly delegate followed the wrong path of the 'Vietnam Bronze Drum Original Energy' Organization. Ms. Hoang Thi Hao was recently sentenced to 2 years and 6 months in prison by the People's Court of Hai Duong province - the highest sentence among the 3 defendants to be tried at the end of 2024.

The organization 'Vietnamese Bronze Drum Original Energy' was founded by Le Van Phuc (American nationality). Vietnamese authorities such as the Ministry of Health, the Government Committee for Religious Affairs... have concluded that this organization's propaganda of the use of original energy is a violation of the law, and those who practice this method in Vietnam also violate the law.

Before being exposed, this organization, with the effective help of Ms. Hoang Thi Hao and other members, gullible people contributed more than 60 billion VND in tuition fees.

Ms. Hoang Thi Hao was temporarily detained on May 3, 2024, and prosecuted for the crime of 'Illegal provision of information on computer networks and telecommunications networks', as prescribed in Clause 2, Article 288 of the Penal Code.

The police agency determined that from 2020 to the end of 2023, Hoang Thi Hao, along with Tran Thanh Van and Nguyen Nhat Linh, learned and studied the original energy subject taught online and in person by Le Van Phuc, who is living at the NLG Center, No. 8781 KNOTT AVE BUENA PARK CA 906203854 (USA).

Hao, Van and Linh are a spontaneous study group, not an organization, without any specific regulations, taught by Le Van Phuc via the internet and studied directly. The three people discussed setting up a YouTube channel to post videos with propaganda content, sharing stories of people studying original energy, the value of original energy for students to easily follow on social networks. For those studying abroad directly taught by Le Van Phuc, Hao's group collected a total of over 1.2 billion VND from 96 people...

Through YouTube, Hao, Van, and Linh have discussed and answered questions about techniques, practiced original energy formulas; practiced self-healing formulas; neutralized and purified toxins...

To attract more participants, the subjects had the characters tell stories about what diseases they had, what medical facilities they had been treated at, how they learned about original energy, what results they achieved, what value original energy brought...

The indictment asserted that the videos on YouTube praising the miraculous effects of the original energy method in treating and supporting treatment have affected the reputation and honor of medical facilities directly treating sick people; negatively affecting security, order and social safety.

In response to the actions of this organization in Vietnam, the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management (Ministry of Health) has requested the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Information and Communications, and the Ministry of Health to take measures to handle individuals and organizations that propagate and deploy the original energy method.

During the trial, Hoang Thi Hao and the other defendants expressed remorse for their actions and hoped to receive leniency so they could soon return to normal life.
