Bustling streets, bustling workers' quarters
People's power is like a rising tide and a pouring waterfall.
Smash authority, slavery, injustice

Autumn echoes in the mountains and rivers
The whole country is red with flags.
Welcome, Democratic Republic of Vietnam.
Shake off the mud and stand up shining brightly (*)

Side by side to build thousands of homes
