Phone transfer must "ting ting" to break up

After the customer transfers money to the account, they must check whether they have received it or not, to avoid encountering fake transactions.

Ms. Hong went home from work and stopped by a grocery store to buy some things. When it was time to pay, she didn’t have enough cash. She asked the store owner to transfer money. She scanned the code and transferred the exact amount of money for the items she had just purchased, then showed the phone screen to the store owner to show her the successful transaction. She was about to pick up her bag and leave when the store owner quickly called her back:

- Honey, wait a moment. I checked my phone and didn't see any notification of receiving the money.

- It must be because of poor network or connection error that your phone hasn't reported it yet. Please wait a moment and see. My phone just reported that the money transfer was successful, I'll show it to you.

- Okay, just wait a moment, wait for my phone call. I was just scammed out of several million because of this transfer. So now I have to check carefully, I apologize!

- Why did you get fooled?

- A few days ago, a stranger came to buy something. When paying, he didn't have cash but asked to transfer money. The price of the goods was only a few hundred, but he said he urgently needed a few million in cash to pay his father's hospital bills, so he asked me to change it for him. So he scanned the code, stood there for a while, then showed me the phone screen showing a successful transaction of five million dong. I counted the cash and gave it to him to hold, but when I picked up the phone to check, there was no message yet. I called him back and he said he had something urgent to do so he couldn't wait and hurriedly left.

- Sometimes the network really has a problem. Because sometimes when I make transactions, I encounter the same situation. I have transferred money but the other side only receives the notification after a while. Or the money has been in the account but the connection is faulty so the notification is not sent.

- After he left, I waited for a while but still saw nothing. I checked my balance and it was still the same. I called the bank and they said there had been no recent transactions with that amount of money. That's when I realized I had been scammed.

- Wow! There are so many types of scams these days. They are really sophisticated, they can create fake transactions that no one can detect. If this continues, I'm afraid more people will fall into this trap.

- I went to the police to report it, and checked the camera, but this person was wearing a mask and a tight hat, and the camera couldn't see the license plate, so it was difficult to track him down. I also heard that there are now apps that create fake transactions on phones. So now, whoever pays by bank transfer has to check carefully and see if there is a notification sent to the phone to feel secure.

- Yes, nowadays scams are so sophisticated, so you have to be careful. Selling goods doesn't make much profit, but being scammed of a large amount of money is really painful!

Just as she finished speaking, the shop owner heard her phone "ting ting", and only then did the two happily part ways.
