Approval of Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung to hold the position of Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee

On the morning of November 16, Nghe An Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the Politburo's decision on personnel work.

Attending the event were Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Central Organization Commission Le Minh Hung; Party Central Committee member, Deputy Head of the Central Economic Commission Thai Thanh Quy; and leaders of Nghe An province.

At the conference, Party Central Committee member, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Commission Do Trong Hung announced the Politburo's Decision approving Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province to hold the position of Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term and appointed him to join the Party Committee of Military Region 4 for the 2020-2025 term.

On behalf of the Politburo, Head of the Central Organizing Committee Le Minh Hung presented the Decision and congratulated Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung on his new responsibility.

According to the Head of the Central Organizing Committee, Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung (born in 1974) received basic training, has a Master's degree in Political Economy, Bachelor's degree in Economics, and Senior degree in Political Theory.

He has worked and grown through many different positions at the Ministry of Planning and Investment.

Since March 2020, he has been mobilized and appointed to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province. In all his positions, Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung has always excellently fulfilled his tasks, making important contributions to the overall achievements and results of the locality, agency, and unit.

The Head of the Central Organizing Committee believes that with his experience gained through practical work and his attachment to Nghe An province, Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung will excellently complete the assigned tasks.

The Head of the Central Organizing Committee requested Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung, in his capacity as Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and comrades in the Executive Committee and Standing Committee to focus on reviewing the goals and targets set out in the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term; thoroughly grasp the viewpoints, policies and resolutions of the Party, especially the direction of the Politburo, especially the speeches of General Secretary To Lam on strongly innovating the Party's leadership and governance methods, preventing corruption, waste, negativity...; identify the important driving force to bring the country into a new era, the era of national growth, the era of development and prosperity.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung and the Executive Committee and Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee continue to focus on building and streamlining the apparatus to operate effectively and efficiently in the direction of "Refined - Lean - Strong - Effective - Effective - Efficient".

Among them, streamlining the apparatus and organizing Party agencies, truly being the intellectual core, the "general staff", the vanguard leading state agencies; developing new productive forces and production relations, creating strong momentum for development.

Along with that, it is necessary to proactively innovate, create, and concretize guiding ideas in all fields, focusing on successfully leading the set goals.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung expressed his deep gratitude to the Politburo, the Secretariat, and the Central Organizing Committee for their trust and responsibility in assigning him the position of Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee. At the same time, he promised to promote the strengths of the locality, make efforts and strive to fulfill the assigned tasks; together with the Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Committee, promote the spirit of solidarity and unity, continue to successfully implement the goals of the Party Congress resolution and the Resolution of the Nghe An Provincial Party Congress.
