President Luong Cuong offers incense to commemorate the Hung Kings

Attending the incense offering ceremony were Politburo members: Do Van Chien, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; General Phan Van Giang, Minister of National Defense.

Also attending were Party Central Committee members: Mai Van Chinh, Deputy Prime Minister; Nguyen Khac Dinh, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; Party Central Committee members; leaders of departments, ministries, branches; leaders of Phu Tho province and other provinces and cities.

Thousands of compatriots at home and abroad were also present to offer incense in memory of the Hung Kings.

From early morning, the delegates gathered in full force in front of the ceremony yard at the Hung Temple Festival Center. Amidst the majestic festival music, the incense offering group with the solemn ceremonial flags, the splendid flags, the palanquin procession and offerings departed from the Festival Center yard through the Nghi Mon, Ha Temple, Trung Temple to Thuong Temple.

Leading the procession were soldiers of the Vietnam People's Army carrying the national flag, festival flags and wreaths bearing the words "Forever grateful to the Hung Kings for their contributions to building the country". Following them were young women in red ao dai carrying incense, flowers, and offerings, and 100 descendants of Lac Hong in ancient costumes, holding high festival flags, representing the strong vitality of the Dragon Fairy lineage, along with a procession offering incense, flowers, Chung cakes, and Day cakes associated with the legend of Prince Lang Lieu.

Next came the delegation of leaders of the Party, State, central agencies, localities; leaders of Phu Tho province, departments, branches, unions, districts, cities, towns and people attending the incense offering ceremony.

At Kinh Thien Palace, on the sacred Nghia Linh mountain, with a sincere heart to pay tribute to the ancestors, demonstrating the Vietnamese people's morality of "When drinking water, remember its source", President Luong Cuong and other Party, State and local leaders entered the Upper Palace to respectfully offer incense, flowers and offerings to commemorate and pay tribute to the Hung Kings who built the country, and the ancestors who protected the country so that their descendants could continue the tradition of building a rich and civilized Vietnam like today.

On behalf of the people of the whole country, before the souls of the Hung Kings, Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Tho province Bui Van Quang, Head of the Hung Kings' Commemoration Ceremony in the year of At Ty 2025, read the congratulatory message affirming the great significance of the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day; praising the great merits of the Hung Kings, the spirit of uprising and resilience of our ancestors who did not spare their blood and bones to repel foreign invaders, protect the country and the heroic spirit of the entire army and people in the resistance wars for independence and freedom of the Fatherland. At the same time, respectfully reporting to the souls of our ancestors about the great achievements that our entire Party, people and army have achieved in the past year on the path of national development.

Throughout the history of building and defending the country of our people, with the tradition of solidarity and ardent patriotism, successive generations of Lac Hong descendants have gone through many struggles with countless hardships and challenges; fostered the spirit of self-reliance, self-control, self-strengthening and deep national pride and self-respect; created glorious feats, built independence, preserved the country, affirmed sovereignty, and protected national interests.

Continuing the heroic historical tradition, culture, civilization and culture of the nation, over the past 95 years, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, our country and people have promoted the strength of great solidarity and revolutionary heroism, overcome countless hardships and sacrifices; steadfastly fought for independence and freedom, for peace and friendship, for happiness and prosperity, for sovereignty and territorial integrity; made great victories and achievements in the cause of building and defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland, leaving a deep mark in the glorious history of the nation.

Over the past year, under the close and timely leadership of the Party and State; the proactive and active support of the National Assembly; the effective direction and management of the Government, all levels, sectors and localities; the solidarity and high determination of the entire political system; the consensus of the entire people and the support and cooperation of international friends; our country has proactively responded to external fluctuations; continued to effectively resolve internal shortcomings and difficulties arising from practice; strongly and resiliently prevented, combated and overcame the consequences of natural disasters, storms and floods; successfully and comprehensively implemented the set goals and tasks, many fields achieved outstanding results.

The economy has recovered positively and grown strongly, continuing to be a bright spot in economic growth in the region and the world. Social security is ensured, and people's material and spiritual lives continue to improve. Science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation are gradually becoming the foundation and key driving force for national development. The organization of the political system is being reorganized and innovated towards streamlining, compactness, and effective and efficient operation. National defense and security potential is constantly being consolidated and enhanced. The foreign affairs situation is constantly expanding. Independence, sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity are maintained. National and ethnic interests are guaranteed. The country's position and prestige are constantly spreading. The combined strength of the nation and people is constantly being enhanced; continuing to affirm the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the strength of great national unity.

In this sacred moment, before the spirit of our ancestors, the entire Vietnamese people vow to continue the tradition of the Dragon and Fairy, to promote the highest spirit of solidarity, independence, self-reliance, self-confidence, self-reliance, self-strengthening with national pride and self-respect combined with the strength of the times; to join hands in a strong and comprehensive innovation, to strive constantly with the highest determination and responsibility, to bring the country firmly into a new era - an era of prosperous development of the nation. To realize the aspiration to build a peaceful, prosperous, democratic, fair, civilized, prosperous and happy Vietnam; to stand shoulder to shoulder with the great powers of the five continents; to contribute worthily to the peace, stability and development of the region and the world; to glorify the Vietnamese nation.

Next, President Luong Cuong and other Party and State leaders laid wreaths and burned incense at the Hung Kings' Mausoleum; offered flowers at the relief of Uncle Ho talking to officers and soldiers of the Vanguard Army Corps at the Den Gieng Five-Way Intersection.

The Hung Kings' Commemoration Day is a solemn holiday with a profound and unique cultural identity of the Vietnamese people, expressing the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" to commemorate and show gratitude to the Hung Kings who built and defended the country. This is also an important occasion to promote to the world an extremely valuable and unique heritage that has existed for thousands of years, deeply rooted in the soul and emotions, becoming the traditional morality of our compatriots nationwide and overseas Vietnamese.

The Hung Kings' Commemoration Anniversary and the Cultural - Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land in the year of At Ty 2025 will take place from March 29 to April 7, 2025 (ie from March 1 to 10, At Ty year) at the Hung Temple historical relic site, Viet Tri city and districts and towns in Phu Tho province with many unique activities and events bearing the spirit of the Hung Kings' era and being inherited and continued in contemporary society.

During the Hung Kings' death anniversary, tens of thousands of people from all over the country and overseas Vietnamese returned to offer incense at the Hung Temple relic site to commemorate the Hung Kings who founded the country and the ancestors who protected the country for the people; praying for the National Ancestors to always bless them with good health, peace and happiness.
