An Nhut rural market, Long Dien district (Ba Ria - Vung Tau province) has just opened and has attracted many locals and tourists from near and far to experience and enjoy rustic dishes every afternoon.
On weekends, many locals and tourists flock to visit and experience An Nhut rural market located in the middle of green rice fields in Long Dien district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.
Right at An Nhut bridge, Highway 55 suddenly became bustling, with long lines of cars parked on both sides of the road.
An Nhut rural market is located on an asphalt-paved inner-field road. The market has 20 stalls, open from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. every day, selling rustic dishes with strong local flavors such as An Nhut rice vermicelli, banh khot, banh cuon, balut, fried fish balls, corn, grilled potatoes and fresh seafood... Outside the entrance to the market, people are instructed to park their vehicles for free.
The dishes here cost from 10,000 - 50,000 VND/portion, and are publicly listed right in front of each stall.

Most visitors coming here enjoy both enjoying unique dishes and watching the green rice fields with the scent of young rice seedlings.
Mr. Ho Van Nhat (30 years old, living in Dong Nai province) said that he went to An Nhut rural market because he saw information shared on social networks. During a trip to Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, he decided to experience it with his family.
“I was very impressed when I came to this rural market, because the airy space and the image of rice fields reminded me of my childhood. In particular, the dishes here are rustic but extremely attractive,” Mr. Nhat shared.
The first time she visited An Nhut rural market, Mrs. Tran Thi Thu (54 years old, residing in Chau Duc district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province) said that the rural market reminded her of her childhood memories when she often went to the market in the village with her mother.
“I really enjoyed experiencing this country market, it brought back many memories for me. The vendors here are very friendly, the food and drinks are rustic and delicious, I will definitely come back and introduce it to my friends to experience together”, Ms. Thu said.
The dishes sold at An Nhut rural market are all handmade by the locals. Most of the vendors here are locals, in difficult circumstances or unemployed. The shops are simple bamboo huts with thatched roofs and a few tables and plastic chairs placed on the roadside.
Mr. Nguyen Tuong Thanh, Chairman of An Nhut Commune People's Committee, said that the rural market was formed from the idea of solving jobs for local people who were facing difficulties and lost their jobs before the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin. An Nhut Market is also expected to contribute to creating a highlight to attract tourists, help develop the rural economy and promote the local image.
After nearly 2 months of operation, An Nhut market has become more and more known to the people, attracting 800 - 1,000 visitors each day. Especially, on weekends, the number of visitors coming to experience is even higher.
To ensure hygiene, An Nhut commune authorities arranged many garbage bags along the road for convenient collection after the market ends.
“We regularly promote, mobilize and require food and beverage businesses to ensure food hygiene and safety, organize waste collection, and maintain environmental sanitation. In the long term, the locality is considering supporting electricity and water supply to serve businesses and tourists who come to experience the night,” Mr. Thanh shared.
