In 2022, the Ministry of Public Security plans to organize the competency assessment test about 10 days after the high school graduation exam. According to the structure, the test will consist of 2 parts: multiple choice (90 minutes) and essay (90 minutes).
The Ministry of Public Security has just issued the format of the 2022 competency assessment exam. Accordingly, candidates can choose one of four exam codes according to their registered wishes during the preliminary selection, including:
CA1 with multiple choice test includes natural science, social science, English language; essay part is math.
CA2 with multiple choice test includes natural sciences, social sciences, English language; essay part is literature.
CA3 with multiple choice section includes natural sciences, social sciences, Chinese language; essay section is math.
CA4 with multiple choice test includes natural sciences, social sciences, Chinese language; essay part is literature.
The total score of the test is 100 points, of which the multiple choice part is a maximum of 60 points and the essay part is a maximum of 40 points.
Candidates will do the multiple choice part on the multiple choice answer sheet and the essay part on the exam paper according to the model of the Ministry of Public Security.

The natural science field consists of 25 questions (each question is worth 1 point) corresponding to 25 points; core knowledge includes physics, chemistry, and biology. Of which, 80% is grade 12 knowledge; 20% is grade 10 and 11 knowledge, assessed at 4 levels: recognition level, understanding level, low application level, and high application level.
The social sciences field consists of 25 questions (each question is worth 1 point) corresponding to 25 points; core knowledge includes history, geography, socio-economic culture. Of which 80% is grade 12 knowledge; 20% is grade 10 and 11 knowledge, assessed at 4 levels: recognition level, understanding level, low application level, high application level.
The language field (candidates can choose one of two languages, English or Chinese, according to their wishes when registering for the preliminary round) consists of 20 questions (each question is worth 0.5 points) corresponding to 10 points, evaluated according to 4 levels: recognition level, comprehension level, low application level, high application level.
In the essay section, candidates can choose one of two fields: mathematics or literature according to their wishes registered during the preliminary selection.
Math has 3-5 questions with 40 points, of which 80% is grade 12 knowledge; 20% is grade 10 and 11 knowledge, assessed at 4 levels: recognition level, understanding level, low application level, high application level.
Literature subject consists of 2 questions with 40 points from 12th grade knowledge, in which question 1 is reading comprehension with 10 points; question 2 is writing with 30 points.
Candidates will take the exam at the People's Police academies and universities according to their wishes registered during the preliminary selection. Candidates in the South (from Da Nang and below) who register their wishes to be admitted to the People's Police academies and universities in the North will take the exam at the People's Police universities in the South.
The results of the Ministry of Public Security's assessment test will account for 60% of the total admission score, and the high school graduation exam score of the Ministry of Education and Training will account for 40% of the total admission score.
