Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Hung acknowledged the efforts and contributions of the Friendship Cooperation Center in advising the Provincial People's Committee to organize people-to-people diplomacy activities, connecting with non-governmental organizations to implement programs and projects, contributing to ensuring social security activities in the province.

In the coming time, the center needs to promote proactiveness, flexibility, innovation and creativity to advise, propose and effectively organize the implementation of assigned goals and tasks. It is necessary to closely follow the political tasks of the Provincial Party Committee, the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, the Union of Friendship Organizations to develop plans and programs of activities close to the requirements of the tasks. Promote non-governmental aid and humanitarian and charitable activities by proactively connecting, mobilizing and effectively deploying aid sources in accordance with the socio-economic development orientation of the province. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Hung awarded Certificates of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee to 6 non-governmental organizations and enterprises with outstanding achievements.

After 20 years of operation, the Friendship Cooperation Center has achieved positive cooperation results in the fields of culture, health, education, gender equality, environment, etc. Typically, Montreuil City, Seine-Saint-Denis Province (France) has sent teachers to support teaching French in high schools, received teachers and students from Hai Duong for training, supported tens of thousands of EURO to implement environmental projects; supported Lao students to study in Hai Duong. From 2013 to present, the center has connected and mobilized more than 10 international and foreign non-governmental organizations to support Hai Duong in the fields of health, culture, health, support for the poor, etc. with a budget of more than 70 billion VND.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations awarded Certificates of Merit to 2 individuals; the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 1 collective and 3 individuals with outstanding achievements in people's foreign affairs and non-governmental aid mobilization.
