A suspected terrorist car explosion occurred at the US border gate, in which 2 people were confirmed dead, while 1 injured person is being treated.
According to reporters in Canada, many border crossings from Canada to the US in the Niagara Falls area have been closed after a car explosion on the Rainbow Bridge killed two people.
CTV News quoted sources as saying that Canadian officials are operating on the assumption that the incident is terrorism-related.
The incident occurred at the US border gate, in which 2 people were confirmed dead and 1 injured person is being treated.
Speaking before the Canadian Parliament, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau called this a very serious situation and said he was considering additional measures for border crossings across Canada.
Currently, four border crossings in the Niagara Falls area are closed, including Rainbow Bridge, Whirlpool Bridge, Queenston Bridge and Peace Bridge.
Public Safety Minister Dominic LeBlanc said it was a situation of concern for both countries, but cautioned against speculation.
